The South African Society for Quality (SASQ) is a professional body dedicated to advancing the practice, understanding, and value of quality, management systems, and performance improvement in South Africa and across the African region.
Established in 1969, SASQ has a proud history of supporting individuals and organisations in their pursuit of excellence. In today’s rapidly changing environment, where quality is often viewed primarily as a compliance requirement, SASQ promotes quality as a strategic enabler of organisational performance, innovation, sustainability, and professional credibility.

Our Purpose
SASQ exists to support and advance professionals across disciplines in developing the competence required to contribute meaningfully to their organisations, industries, and communities.
We enable professionals across disciplines—including engineering, healthcare, laboratories, manufacturing, education, service industries, government, and public services—to develop and maintain competence in quality, management systems, and performance improvement through structured Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programmes and certification pathways, supporting improved organisational performance and professional recognition.
