We do apologise to you for not hearing from us for a long period as we had to revisit and rebuild our operational support systems. In this regard, I wish to announce the appointment of Mr Tommy Harris as the SASQ Operations President and Shilinia Harris as SASQ administrator.

The main objectives of SASQ are two fold, namely;
- To stimulate quality awareness for the benefit of quality and productivity in industry and commerce and;’
- To advance the theory and practices of the management and improvement of quality through recognised training, education and certification.

The main business of the SASQ includes;
- The provision of a registered organization which shall be recognised as representing the quality profession throughout Southern Africa;
- To liaise with other professional bodies, training and educational institutes, both locally and internationally, and both with the private and government departments, on matters relating to quality and to be seen as the authoritative voice for the quality profession in Southern Africa;
- To recognise and reward exceptional service to SASQ and the quality profession and;
- To plan and conduct such activities as necessary to accomplish the main objectives.
Our Vision
The vision of SASQ is "To be the recognised body of quality related knowledge in South Africa and the on the African Continent".
Our Mission
The mission of SASQ is "To assist in the development and recognition of quality practitioners and of the quality profession by recognised training, education and certification and thereby assisting to improving quality in South Africa and the African Continent".

Conclusion
In conclusion, we would like to extend an open invitation to persons who want to make some kind of contribution towards SASQ to contact one of the council members. We would also welcome corporate organisations to assist us in terms of sponsorships and donations.
